In tough times...

Mastering Yourself is True Power

Jesus said it in another way in John 4:23-24
"Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers
will worship the Father in spirit and truth,
for they are the kind of worshiper the father seeks"

A man called Ausonuis said
"Forgive many things in others, but nothing in yourself".
That means do not pet or pamper yourself!
Tell yourself the hard truth and deal with yourself
more than you deal with the devil.
The devil is not your greatest enemy this year,
because  Jesus bruised his head about 2,000 years ago.
Likewise, no human being or power is your greatest enemy
because Isaiah 54: 17 was written to paralyze them.
It says "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper;
and every tongue shall rise against thee in judgement thou shall condemn.

Mastering Yourself is True Power

"Owning our story can be hard
but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it.
Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous
as giving up on love and belonging and joy-
the experiences that make us the most vulnerable.
Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness
will we discover the infinite power of our light."
-Brene Brown

This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD,
and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
 "Your greatest enemy is yourself:
your emotions, your body, your appetite, etc.
Paul said "but I keep under my body and bring it into subjection (a forceful control);
lest that by any means when I have preached to others,
I myself should be a cast away" (1 Cor. 9:27).

Solomon hindered his glory because he forgot to consider
the enemy within himself (Vs. 1 of today's scripture).
He lived with many strange women.
Don't hinder your prayers/breakthroughs with your own hands.
For example, bitterness/malice cancels your prayers.
Not tithing slows your progress.
Not being honest with your spouse and murmuring against spiritual authority,
makes you go round and round.
Deal with the devil you know yourself.
Laziness in prayers/bible studies will decline you slowly
Handle your body/sleeping habits!
Handle your eating habits!
90 percent of problems are caused by your thoughts.
You are only confined by the walls you built yourself!

Mastering Yourself is True Power

"So many people live their lives
not knowing the real and exact reasons why they live.
They follow anything for something and they do something for anything.
When you live life with a blurry vision, you live a blurry life.
Vision is life, and life without vision is a dead life"
-Ernest Agyemang Veboah

Don't forget that some people create their own storms and get mad when it rains.
That is why you must never blame others for anything
and always remember that you can also be your best friend or your biggest supporter.
Your enemies know that they are not your worst enemies.
They know that if they can put you in a form of discouragement,
then you are your worst enemy.
Never hate yourself!
Remind yourself that it is okay to fail and rise again.
Sometimes, your worst enemy is your comfort zone!
Abraham Lincoln said, "No man is free, who is not a master of himself"

"Never complain, proclaim positive words.
Then, you will possess the divine grace for a change situation"

Mastering Yourself is True Power

When the real self comes into relationship with God and others,
and incredible dynamic is set into motion;
we grow as God intended us to grow.
It is only when you are connected to the Head (Jesus Christ)
and connected to others (the Body) that the 'whole body, supported and held together
by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow (Col. 2:19)
A coming together of grace and truth in Jesus Christ
is our only hope, and indeed it is a hope that does not disappoint!

If the true self is in hiding, the false self takes over. The false self is the self
that is conformed to this world (Rom 12:2)

"Therefore each of you must put off falsehoood
and speak truthfully to his neighbor,
for we are all members of one body (Eph. 4:20-25)

As long as the lying, false self is the one relating to God, others and ourselves,
Then Grace and truth cannot heal us.
The false self tries to "heal" us by its own methods;
it always finds false situations,
and the real self that God created to grow into his likeness
stays hidden and unexposed to grace and truth.

Mastering Yourself is True Power
A Beautiful Prayer
In tough times, LORD, let me stay motivated & calm.
Let me look at how far I have come
RATHER than how far I still have to go.
Let me continue counting my blessings &
NOT what I have been missing.
May everyday bring new chances to grow,
New beautiful things to see,
New plans to do & new goals to pursue,
As everyday bring new chances to grow,
New beautiful things to see,
New plans to do
& New goals to pursue,
As every new day is God's miracle day.
Amen.
