FIn3 LAdY

Jumoke chicly dressed in a red long sleeved chiffon blouse
Tucked in a black skirt, an ebony scarf coiling expertly at her nape
She knew she could ask for a driver to take her home
But somehow she wanted to do it herself
“Please God” she pleaded fervently
Jumoke remained desolate, tears stung and flowed
Down her eyes, her teenage dreams and aspirations of growing up
Only if wishes were horses, she would be riding high
For all her resolution not to sulk today
She was not feeling well
The love her parents shared was selfless and fulfilling
One must not get her wrong though
She had had her own share of happiness
She must not loose hope, albiet she refused to be despaired
One would think she was already above fifty
Where would the child come from?
Probably adoption
Although adoption was not common but who cared?
She did not have to be happily married before bearing a child
Jumoke concluded
Suddenly the car jerked, violently slouching forward
Her eyes flew open and BASH!!!
Jumoke would have fallen out if not for the strong arms
Are you okay madam? A man's deep voice
The dizziness was sweeping over her
When Jumoke opened her eyes, it was to darkness
Where was she?
She found she was in the sanctuary of her own bedroom
How had she gotten here?
She could not remember coming home.........the accident!
To be continued
