Comparison is the Thief of real Joy
"When you go on Facebook it's kind of like you're going through everyone's pictures and everyone's life, like, oh, that looks like so much fun, oh they're so cool, they're so pretty, they have all these cool pictures"
It's so hard to not compare yourself to other people like
that's one of the hardest things ever in life. As human beings we just get
tempted to compare ourselves to other people in the same field as us. You just feel like you don't have anything, and
you just begin to belittle your own achievements.
Negative Comments
Today the chance of being scrutinized is greater because more people interact through a protected anonymous filter, potentially making self-esteem issues more sensitive.
If we find out that we do not have as many likes or comments as our friends in the network, we will feel less confident.
Offensive comments can mentally attack us and leave bad emotional scars. Some victims suicided to finish the pain caused by cyber-bullying. Cyber bullying also causes depression in teenagers. Some of them decided to stop going to school as an escape from cyber-bullying. Some even dare not go out due to deep emotional hurt caused by comments.
"Victims of Cyber Bullying tend to have lower self-esteem than non-victims" - Journal of School Health
It's a distraction!
When you spend their free time on social networking
sites, they have less time for face-to-face conversations. Thus, their real
connections weaken. This causes a big distraction from study, work or family duty.
People will be unable to work at 100% of their productivity
if they are addicted to social networking sites.People who spend too much time checking updated statuses on social networking sites, cannot focus on their daily tasks. Logging in Facebook or Twitter many times a day is a waste
of time.
Two things that never come back in life are wasted time and
neglected opportunity. If
people spend too much time on social networking sites, they will not only waste
their time and lower their productivity but also lose their opportunities.

"Who has a better six pack?"
Skipping meals, obsessively counting calories, eliminating
entire food groups from your diet, filling up on low-calorie or diet foods,
exercising excessively to make up for eating are all eating disorders that can
be caused by comparing ourselves to others.

Treat Yourself with Respect
Treat Yourself with Respect
"It's those unique characteristics in each of us, that make us beautiful in our own way."
We should follow the golden rule of treating each other with
respect, surround yourself with positive people, true friends and followers
will accept you, for you.
Trash the negativity, You are in control....
"You cannot control what happens to you, but you can control your attitude towards what happens to you"
And Yes! Beware of Envy
"So you don't like a person because he/she possesses something you imagine to be good that you don't have?"
You feel 'sick' whenever you see him/her, hear people
talking about him/her or even when you think of him/her while you are
alone...This is because he/she is smarter or wealthier or more knowledgeable or
intelligent or virtuous than you are...
....And you are not able to appreciate his/her unique talent of possession or popularity....And by your behavior you try to downgrade, avoid, or defame him/her, feel happy when he/she suffers a loss or is in a difficulty. But you hide this feeling inside!
